Two AFC teams that desperately need a win will square off in Week 10 when the Las Vegas Raiders (2-6) host the Indianapolis Colts (3-5-1) Sunday on CBS and Paramount+. Both teams were above .500 a season ago with the Raiders edging out the Colts for the final playoff spot in the AFC and both had intentions on making the NFL playoffs this season. However, the Colts have already fired Frank Reich, replacing him with TV analyst Jeff Saturday, while the Raiders are 2.5 games out of a playoff spot. Week 10 NFL picks for Colts vs. Raiders

Before tuning into Sunday’s Raiders vs. Colts game, you need to see the NFL picks from SportsLine’s advanced computer model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up more than $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 10 of the 2022 NFL season on an incredible 151-108 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick’em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

For Raiders vs. Colts, the model is picking Las Vegas to cover the spread at home. The Raiders are coming off another disheartening loss to the Jaguars in Week 9. The 27-20 defeat was their fifth loss of the season by one score or less but the Raiders still have some reason for optimism with an offense that ranks in the top half of the NFL.

Meanwhile, the Colts are coming off a 26-3 drubbing at the hands of the Patriots that prompted Reich’s firing. Now, Saturday takes over as the interim head coach despite having no ties to the Reich holdovers and having never previously coached above the high school level. Even Saturday expressed surprise at having fielded a call from Colts owner Jim Irsay and the six-time Pro Bowler will have his work cut out dealing with all the noise surrounding his hiring.

But even more importantly for the Colts, quarterback play continues to be an issue. The franchise has cycled through quarterbacks since Andrew Luck’s sudden retirement and their latest attempt, long-time Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, was benched after just seven games. Sam Ehlinger was sacked nine times and only threw for 103 yards in the loss to New England last week and the model doesn’t have much confidence in the Indianapolis offense right now, which is why it’s backing the Raiders to cover.
